Klinserve Solutions, in partnership with Hako, has launched a range of environmentally friendly industrial cleaning machines and robots in Nigeria to boost the cleaning industry in the country.
The cleaning technology is applicable in various sectors – maritime, oil and gas, aviation, manufacturing, construction sites as well as roads, streets and built environments.
The machines and robots are available in various models and can be used to clean airport aprons, runways, hangars, seaport terminals, shipyards, ship floors, cargo storage areas, factories, roads, streets, drains and residential areas.
Tunde Ayeye, Chairman and CEO of Klinserve Solutions, said the introduction of cleaning machines and robots to Nigeria is not only a business relationship between Germany and Nigeria, but also a major technology transfer from Germany and Europe to Nigeria and Africa.
He called on other state governments and the private sector in Nigeria to make full use of the partnership between Klinserv and Hako to achieve very clean and high standards of environmental sanitation while creating jobs and significantly improving the economy.
“We have carefully selected a globally trusted partner who will help us achieve excellent results. Technology is advancing at a rapid pace and we cannot afford to lag behind.”
Noting that Nigeria’s cleaning sector continues to attract significant investments, with an expected $25 billion by 2027, Aye said the sector remains highly unstructured and does not have the required technology.
He described the launch as the beginning of a journey within his business group.
Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, delivered a keynote address at the launch, praising innovations in cleaning technology in the country
“I commend Klinserv Solutions and the German Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria for hosting this landmark event, which marks a significant step forward in industrial innovation, economic development and environmental sustainability for Lagos, Nigeria and beyond,” he said.
Representing the Governor, the Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, stressed that the introduction of PECO, state-of-the-art outdoor municipal sweepers, advanced robotic machines and specialized equipment tailored for different industries marks a promising new chapter for the country.
“Lagos State, as the regional hub for this product launch, is at the forefront of this exciting technological advancement.”
“Our cities face the challenges of rapid urbanization and rapid population growth, both of which require innovative and sustainable solutions to keep clean, improve hygiene and protect our environment.”
He said the environmentally friendly equipment on display has great potential to improve the efficiency of municipal services and industrial operations.
“We are particularly encouraged by our medium-term plan to localize technology by establishing a machine assembly and manufacturing base in Lagos State.”
Reji Cojo, Regional Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Hako Group, also said that the company is a world-leading supplier of municipal cleaning and high-pressure water jet technology, working with distributors around the world to ensure seamless after-sales maintenance of cleaning machines and robots.
“Hako is the first company in Europe to produce sweepers, and the company has previously been committed to agricultural machinery manufacturing for decades. By 2021, Hako has manufactured the first series of cleaning robots that can operate automatically according to programs.” He said.
In his speech, Welter Borna said that the cooperation between Hako and Klinserv has enabled Nigeria to access world-class technology.
“Germany’s relationship with Nigeria goes beyond politics to involve a long-standing business partnership, with German companies already employing more than 70,000 Nigerians.”
“The collaboration between Hako and Klinserv will result in cleaner cities and better living standards for everyone.”
