Keeping your tile floors looking new isn’t easy when stains are lingering in the grout. We recommend the Reliable Pronto Plus Steam Mop, which is effective at removing stubborn stains in tile grout, thanks to its high-pressure nozzle that can precisely clean hard-to-reach crevices, nooks, and crevices.
We took the Reliable Pronto Plus home for a long-term review and found it came with easy-to-follow instructions, a thoughtful accessory storage bag, and an easy-to-fill water tank. Its steam reaches maximum temperature faster and requires fewer cleanings than other models we tested.
The low-profile, triangular swivel mop head is perfect for sliding into hard-to-reach nooks and crannies. That said, while the microfiber mop head keeps tile surfaces clean, the mop attachment isn’t revolutionary. The grand finale is the high-pressure nozzle, which works similarly to a pressure washer and effectively removes set-in grout stains.
Two months later, our enthusiasm for the mop attachment has faded, but our love for the high-pressure nozzle has not. We used the steam mop to clean tile floors in our kitchen and bathrooms and found that the mop head became less effective at removing surface stains on tile and grout lines.
In contrast, the handheld tool and abrasive brass scrub brush became our go-to tools for removing set-in grout stains and soap scum without damaging the smooth tile surface. The water tank is smaller than other steam mops we’ve tried, but we wouldn’t replace it because we feel it would be too heavy if it held more water.
After six months, the steam intensity output remains consistent, as does the quality of the microfiber mop pad, despite being machine washed after each use. The bristles on the scrubbing attachment tool are a little worn, but they work well. Even better, the mop starts and heats up just as quickly as when we first used it.
All in all, we recommend the Reliable Pronto Plus for those who are looking for a steam mop that can target old grout line stains and other hard-to-reach areas.
While we appreciated its high-pressure nozzle, we were disappointed with the microfiber mop pad and wished it had a stand, as it fell to the floor every time we tried to balance it against a wall or chair during cleaning.
