Have you started your spring cleaning yet? I admit, I’m a little behind—which is embarrassing for someone who writes about home furnishings for a living! The thing is, I’m procrastinating because I’m thinking about buying a new vacuum. Yes, I have a lightweight upright vacuum and a heavy-duty handheld vacuum, both of which I love.
But sometimes you need a more powerful vacuum that can cover a larger area…er, floors. I started researching some upright vacuums, and then I realized that a canister vacuum might be a better fit for my five-foot, not-very-muscular frame.
After testing a number of models, our senior writer ranked the Miele Classic C1 Turbo Team Bagged Canister Vacuum as her top pick. As it happens, a number of members of my Facebook group (hat tip to the Philaqueens!) have recommended this vacuum. And a little tip: It’s originally priced at $469, but it’s only $375 on Amazon. I need to dust off my shopping cart!
“It works much better than any upright or cordless vacuum I’ve tested,” one of my Philaqueens wrote. “It’s super lightweight, easy to carry up and down stairs, and the bag captures more dust and hair than an upright vacuum.”
