I love pressure washing, especially when it’s the first clean of the season and all that pesky grime is rinsed away, ready for summer barbecues and drinks on the patio! So satisfying.
I was also delighted to be paid to do an independent review of the Greenworks G40 Pressure Washer, which is £209 from Currys and is a compact cleaning tool designed for the home and garden. Win-win!
With a 1900W motor, it can reach a maximum pressure of 135 bar and a flow rate of 420 litres per hour, making it perfect for cleaning patios, driveways, cars and all those outdoor projects that suddenly feel urgent when the sun shines.
With a large patch of grime to clean on the patio and a large number of vehicles to maintain, I was also excited to try out the 12-inch patio cleaner, soap dispenser and brush attachments – who doesn’t love pressure washer accessories? That would just be me…
I had a blast testing the Greenworks G40 on a patio, garden fence, car, and a very dirty horse cart over a warm spring weekend—I even got my husband Nick on board.
I’ve used a lot of pressure washers over the years, bought them, reviewed them, returned them, or sold them. The one model I haven’t used yet is the Stihl RE 120 Plus (mine was stolen during a burglary last year, what a shame!), which has very similar specs on paper.
As the Greenworks G40 retails for half the price, I was particularly interested to see how it stacked up against the Stihl RE 120 Plus.
