If you want to pamper your tile floors with a deep steam clean but don’t want to spend a fortune, the True & Tidy Heavy Duty Steam Mop STM-500 won’t let you down.
This affordable steam mop impressed us during our initial home testing phase because it was simple to set up and operate, maneuvered easily in tight spaces, and reliably removed surface stains from tile floors.
We really appreciated its adjustable steam settings and quick cool-down time after mopping. One downside we noticed was that the steam mop pad rolled down when going over uneven surfaces, but this ultimately didn’t affect its stain removal effectiveness.
We found the True & Tidy to perform well at removing light dirt and debris, but was a bit less effective at removing tough stains. For heavier stains, this steam mop required soap to successfully clean your floors.
We found this mop to perform best at tackling simple dust and dirt, but even so, it was still able to remove most stains, even with the extra manual labor involved.
Its flexibility also won us over. The portable design easily gets around furniture legs and baseboards to collect hard-to-reach debris, and we found it lightweight even with a full water tank. True
& Tidy worked effectively for half a year, and we didn’t notice a change in steam intensity over time. The included mop pad did appear dirtier during use, but that didn’t affect performance.
This affordable steam mop is a solid choice for removing dirt or dust from tile floors, but we wish its mop pad was more absorbent for heavy spills, muddy paw marks, or sticky stains.
