Our all-around tile floor cleaner, the Shark S5003D, stands out from the rest thanks to its efficient stain removal, portable design, and top-notch handling. After months of continuous use, it has been amazing, removing not only grease and grime from our kitchen floors, but also dirt from the crevices of our bathroom tiles.
With the water tank half full, we were able to steam clean our modest kitchen and bathroom floors more than twice. We appreciated the ease of taking the suction pads in and out between uses, but weren’t quite sure whether to throw them in the washing machine with your regular laundry.
Nonetheless, we found the suction pads easy to hand wash, so we feel comfortable recommending them to friends or family with tile floors.
Six months later, we were pleased to find that the Shark S5003D cleans just as well as it did the first time we used it, and the steam intensity hasn’t changed. This model is perfect for homes with ample tile or linoleum floors, as it’s easy to use and doesn’t require any accessories for a deep clean.
Its most notable feature is the Touch-Free technology, which lets you attach, clean, and place used mop pads in the laundry basket without lifting a finger. Between mopping sessions, you can toss the Dirt Grip Pads in the washing machine and reuse as needed.
We were disappointed, however, that the Touch-Free Mop Pad release button became less reliable over time, causing us to have to manually remove used mop pads to save time. Despite frequent hand and machine washing, the Dirt Grip Pads still retained stains, but we found that they still cleaned effectively.
